Life outside the box! It’s non-conforming. Wild. Creative and innovative. No one can bust you out of the box like Jesus! He offers ultimate out-of-the-box thinking and living!
Today’s “reality”—with its constraints and limitations—does not have to shape our future.
The “box” is filled with things which keep us from living our best life. From accomplishing our most significant work. It’s filled with forces which will hold you …
- Things like poor thinking
- The grip of the past
- What others are saying
We need a jailbreak. Or a boxbreak!
Lift up your eyes to change your focus!
Consider Abraham. He is the prototype of living by faith.
Abraham was challenged to shift his focus. In Genesis 13:14-18, the Creator told him to look out at the territory he would possess.
“Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward; for all the land which you see, I will give it to you and to your descendants forever. I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth, so that if anyone can number the dust of the earth, then your descendants can also be numbered” (Genesis 13:14-15 NAS).
Look beyond your current place. Like Abraham, we can lift our perspective and look to the new ground we will take.
Jesus Smart Key
If we keep gazing at our present, limited place, we will continue to live in that experience. Our predominant focus creates our future reality. But if we hear the call to look further, to see new places … then we are filled with hope as we move toward a new horizon. A new day.
Get up and move into new spaces — life outside the box
Jesus touched a blind man. “Do you see anything?” he asked. The man saw people, but he saw them as trees walking around. He needed a second touch from Jesus. As he looked intently again, his healing was restored. See Mark 8:22-26.
We are the same. When we see new things with fresh eyes, then we can move into new spaces …
“Arise, walk about the land through its length and breadth; for I will give it to you.” Then Abram moved his tent and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and there he built an altar to the Lord.”
You and I can break free from limiting boxes we’ve found ourselves in and start moving into the new thing!
Begin to survey new possibilities as you hear the call. And then begin to move in the direction of new things … for it will be given to you as you as you are transformed. Inner transformation releases transformation around us. Follow your listening heart. Be confident.
What could be possible if you courageously followed your listening heart and experienced life outside the box?
