Here’s the true joy of Christmas … when we understand that heaven and earth merge in us through the indwelling Christ, unlimited potential is released.
It’s more than remembering Jesus as a baby in a manger. Christmas is a breakthrough merging of heaven and earth. And this changes everything.
Christmas is heaven coming to earth
When Adam and Eve sinned, the Father promised a Seed would come through a woman and crush the head of humanity’s adversary … Satan.
“And I will put enmity between you (Satan) and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He (Christ) shall bruise (or, crush) you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel” (Genesis 3:15).
The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary, the power of the Most High came upon her… and the Father sent the Son into our world via the womb of a young woman. Using an egg in Mary’s body, the Son of God was supernaturally conceived in human form.
“When the fulness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman …” (Gal. 4:4 NASB).
The incarnation means that heaven and earth have now been connected again. A seamlessness between heaven and earth has been reestablished. Think of it. This is the grounds on which we can now pray, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
What can this mean for you?
God wants to be reconnected with us. Reconciliation. He desires for us to partner with Him. The dynamic of the incarnation is now available in our lives!
- Your PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Your RELATIONSHIPS
- Your MARRIAGE
- Your FAMILY
- Your CALLING and WORK
- Your LEGACY
“God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27 NKJV).
Heaven and earth merging in your personal world
What foundational steps can you take to tap this potential?
- We must be born again in Christ. The potential of heaven and earth merging in our lives begins with the born again experience. “I assure you, unless you are born again, you can never see the Kingdom of God” (Jesus Christ in John 3:3 NLT).
- Take it further. Allow Christ’s abiding presence to expand within you (increase hospitality to Christ within). The born again experience introduces you to the Kingdom. We now want Christ to dwell (an incarnation) within our hearts in an expansive way. “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith” (Eph. 3:16-17 NASB).
- The same voice that spoke over the chaotic waters in Genesis, the same Word that was released into Mary’s womb… allow that Word to richly dwell within you. Abide in that Word as a life-force and decree it over all things! “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom …” (Col. 3:16 NASB).
Jesus said if we abide in Him, and his words abide in us, we can ask whatever we wish, and it will be granted to us by the Father. See John 15:1-7.
Release the potential of the incarnation in you! And through you. Throughout the year!
